TOUR DAY BY DAY
Day 1 – The best reflections
Start your journey from the alpine resort Kranjska Gora, where the Ski World Cup championship is held every year. Walk the Kneipp path at the Jasna Lake and get stunned by beautiful reflections in the crystal clear water. Meet the young shepherd named Kekec and listen to its brave stories from the alpine plains. Climb up to the amazing view point Ciprnik, to see the highest mountain peaks emerging from clouds.
Day 2 – Alpine flavors
See the biggest ski flying hill Planica and test your courage by looking down from the take-off table. Hike the beautiful Tamar Valley trail leading through the forest to the little wooden cabin at the end. Taste some traditional alpine cuisine, such as delicious »štruklji« or amazing Krain sausage. After cuisine treatment, visit the stunning Nadiža waterfall and enjoy some feet kneipping in the cold water.
Day 3 – Find the pagan girl
Take the trail of Alpe Adria and create unforgettable memories by standing under the highest peaks of Slovenian Alps. Climb the highest Slovenian road pass Vršič, which connects the two important Slovenian regions and find the face of the »Pagan girl« carved into the mountain's wall. Visit the wooden Russian chapel, built in a memory to the Russian soldiers who died in a snow slide under the Alps.
Day 4 – On the other side of the waterfall
Hike the path Triglavska Bistrica, named for Triglav, the highest mountain of Slovenian Julian Alps. Visit the Slovenian Alpine Museum and learn about how alpine culture has been practicing in different eras among Slovenian people. When hiking along the majestic Triglav northern wall for a while, take a break at the beautiful Peričnik waterfall for some great refreshment!
Day 5 – A million shades of green and the crossroads of cultures
Spend your morning in the emerald green area Zelenci, natural reserve for various species, interesting birds and even carnivorous flowers! Take the climb to reach the Triple border of Slovenia, Austria and Italy. Visit the crossroads of germanic, slavic and roman cultures and learn how important this place is as a symbol of international peace and friendship.
Day 6 - Adrenaline rush!
Are you ready for some morning adrenaline? Feel the wind in your hair and get tears in your eyes on the summer sledding "Furious Pehta" on the hill above Kranjska Gora. Do the 293-metre drop in only five minutes and have a great fun with your new friends.
